Local Art & Soul Textile

LADST is stand for Local Arts and Soul Textile is a referring to the word LET'S which means a call to a matter which in this context is to encourage the society especially my students to appreciate, to love, and to uplift the local textile design identity motif or pattern that highlights the soul especially the Malay arts. While the word TJADKAT is stand for “Tekstil Jiwa dan Kesenian Tempatan”is referring to the word JACQUARD which means luxurious patterned fabric or the result of fine weaving, intricate and decorative textile surface. It refers to the classical patterns design and luxurious decorative textiles from the West such as Brocade, Damask, and Matelassé or as a kind of textile products of Malay or so calls Dewangga textiles such as Limar, Songket, Pelangi, Tekat, Keringkam, Perada Emas, etc.
